| News » Map picture on your mobile Map picture on your mobile The Land Board has commissioned AS Datel to renew the possibilites of consulting cadastral data; for this purpose a WAP-service has been created in the updated geographical portal.The earlier WAP-service enabled the consultation of cadastral units, whereas the updated service also displays a query result on the map. It is possible to choose between different background maps, from a base map to an ortophoto, to display map windows in different sizes, to change the quality level of a picture and to zoom in or out on the object in the map picture. In order to use the service you need a mobile phone or a palmtop with the Internet connection, or you may use the conventional Internet browser in your computer. The updated WAP-service has been created within the framework of the projects „Reorganisation of national geoinformation systems for Open GIS architecture“ and „Development of data services of the Land Information System“, which were financed by the EU Structural Funds. This is one of the many X-GIS software components that AS Datel is developing for the Republic of Estonia.
