» Software supplement to the registry of Tallinn City Planning Department

The registry of Tallinn City Planning Department has renewed its software. This has increased its functionality and replaced the SVG-based map window by an eye-friendlier Flash-application. The outlook of the new work environment is clearer and it is easier to use than the previous one.

This change was caused by the decision made by Adobe to stop supporting their SVG component in 2008. On the other hand, Adobe Flash technology has been developing efficiently and it is also used in the X-GIS map technology that has been commissioned by the Land Board. From now on, Tallinn is also related to the national development of X-GIS.

The first users of the renewed work environment will be city officials and those regular citizens who have been authenticated by ID cards on the address http://tpr.tallinn.ee/tpr/. A regular citizen may use the registry of Tallinn City Planning Department without an ID card, but then the map application will only be renewed if the commissioner- Board of Tallinn City Planning- decides so.
